Snowbell is not a young gal. She’s a senior cat and was suddenly in grave condition. We were all in fear she couldn’t even survive the anesthesia. Dr. Chevalier carefully performed a thoracocentesis to remove fluid from her chest. They stabilized Snowbell and referred us to the cardiac specialists at MedVet in Columbus. Dr.Chevalier went above and beyond to make the transfer as easy and stress free as possible. She communicated with MedVet so they were expecting us and Snowbell was whisked away quickly when we arrived.
The veterinarians in Columbus anticipated having to repeat the procedure that removed fluid around her lungs. But, we were thrilled to learn that Dr Chevalier did such an excellent job they did not believe another procedure was necessary!
My cats diagnosis isn’t what any pet owner really wants to hear. However, she is very comfortable now. We can treat it for a while and give her lots of love and happiness. Probably never as much as she gives us, but we’ll sure try! We are so incredibly grateful to Dr. Chevalier and her staff for this time with her! I am confident that as Snowbell’s condition progresses she’ll be getting the best care available!
